Dundee Airport

Riverside Dr, Dundee DD2 1UH, UK – 01382 662200

Loved the experience going from Dundee to Amsterdam. The Airport staff are fantastic. Going through security was not the chore it usually is at other airports. The waiting area was a bit like being in your Granny's sitting room. They even provide cold water to drink free of charge and a courier to read as well. Best little airport in the world.

Flew to Amsterdam and back, brilliant service on our doorstep! Couldn't ask for better. The only down side was coming in and going through the border control line as the area inside was too small for the number of people coming off the flight so we were waiting outside in the rain for our turn to go through.

Local Parks & Gardens

Magdalen Green

97 Magdalen Yard Rd, Dundee DD2 1BA, UK – 01382 433710

Excellent little park. Amazing place to relax on sunny days - full of people, plenty of nice space for a picnic, tracks for a jog, places to walk your dog (with associated bins!) and benches that oversee the park and offer a nice view while relaxing or reading. Lovely little place.

Great Park with views of the Tay and the rail bridge and Fife. Great for seeing the planes and trains with the kids and the path makes it good to learn the kids to ride their bikes or even take them for a wee walk while they play or cycle.

University of Dundee Botanic Garden

University of Dundee, Riverside Dr, Dundee DD2 1QH, UK – 01382 381190

Fantastic place to enjoy nature without having to grow yourself. The gardens are well maintained and plenty of different sections from around the world.

Friendly charismatic church

Swan House, 2 Explorer Rd, Dundee DD2 1DX, UK – 01382 525021

If you want intelligent, rational and evidence-based arguments presented by a truly no-nonsense personality, David Robertson. Look no further. This man is kind brother, who wants people to see an enlightening alternative view-point to the world that could change your life.

DUSA The Union

Airlie Place, Dundee DD1 4HP, UK – 01382 386060

DUSA is safe, cheap, and good fun. There's a total of two clubs and two bars inside so you'll find something to do. There are often events on which are usually well done.

It is with good reason that DUSA has won so many awards, a well deserved #1 in Scotland. Drinks are always cheap, entry is fair (except during freshers week) and each floor has its own unique atmosphere. There are nights during the week for pretty much every musical taste, distorted for example caters to metal, rock and alternative -something which your don't see very often elsewhere. Flashback which is exactly like it sounds; bringing back the last 30 years of music. And then there is Skint, the £1 entry, £1 drinks night, well worth a visit.
