I've stayed in a few Hampton by Hilton hotels and the standards tend to be very high. The room here in Dundee was typically immaculate and the staff were delightful, but breakfast was very disappointing. There wasn't much choice and it wasn't very warm. But all in all a good stay.
Absolutely amazing value for money. Rooms are high spec and clean. Breakfast one of the best we've had anywhere. Staff are efficient and extremely helpful. A first class hotel at almost a budget price. Can't wait to return.

The staff were all delightful and very accommodating. Food was great, the rooms spacious. Bathroom was very spacious, great shower. Outdoor garden area was a very relaxing setting to have an evening drink. Mattress too firm for my liking and the coffee machine at breakfast was very slow which meant there was always a queue for coffee but would highly recommend.
Have only stayed for 1 night which was OK. The room was nice although the general decor could do with an update. Staff were helpful and we didn't have to wait to get checked in. The pool is nice but too small to swim properly and when we used it quite busy with children. Steam room and suna were audio both good. Breakfast was a standard skittish breakfast but everything was cooked nicely and there was a good range.

Just home from a two day break staying at this hotel. Stay was great, staff very friendly and food was great too (especially bacon and sausages for breakfast). There was a wedding on each night and we didn't hear a thing. The room (210) that we had was great also - good size with large bathroom (seemingly it has an adjoining room if required). Beds were VERY comfortable too. All in a great stay into the bargain we had booked it at a very special rate as advertised on tv. Would definitely like to return one day!
We booked a room for four people with two single beds and a king size. We got two single beds and a twin size (it was less than 120 cm wide) it’s a bit crowded for two adults to sleep in a bed designed for one. This ruined the experience hence the low grade. Otherwise the hotel was abnormally clean and the staff was pretty nice too. A huge plus is that the room had USB ports so you could charge your phone without the need of an adapter. The breakfast was over my expectations with lots of fresh fruits and nice juicy bread. Would have given 4/5 if we had gotten a queen size bed.

Always excellent service from friendly staff. The food is consistently good, great for kids and great value. This is our go-to pub, absolutely brilliant.
Good service. Wide choice of drinks. Food very tasty and reasonably priced.

Was working at a function, could do with external lighting and clear the weeds and rubbishfrom the fire exit
Always a good atmosphere. It's a fine local boozer that I enjoy going to watch the football.

Had a great evening at this lovely and lively stylish pub. Good place to catch up with an old friend while enjoying a most delectable seabass (the catch-of-the-day).
Place is ok,menu a bit limited and even more limited on the day we visited, with a few selections not available.Drinks expensive which kills the dining experience for me

Excellent hotel...Great service very pleasant home comforting rooms...spotlessly clean and great breakfast in the morning I would highly recommend....they had no problem with us taking our little Gorky terrier Bob and ivana
We (couple, Germany) stayed at Balmuirfield house early August 2017 together with our six months old baby and it was definitely the best Scotland experience we could imagine. Starting with the lovely venue, it's garden and the perfect rooms, the owner's family and their care was extraordinary. Great tips, great food and great stories. We really enjoyed the stay and can only recommend to stay here.

Good clean place situated in a quiet area very close to the city centre. The view if your window faces the Tay is great but I was on the top floor, so I may be biased. Quaint rooms with a few fittings showing their age but nothing run down. Breakfast has a limited menu but is made well. The check in and checkout is simple and they are accommodating to a late check in.
Spacious room, lovely breakfast. Great value for money

I was lucky to be invited to the launch of the hotel with the new owners last week. The food provided was first class and it was a pleasure to sit in the comfortable lounges with good friends. I found the hotel location very convenient too.
Great place, friendly staff, clean and fresh. Great cooked to order breakfast and good views of the River Tay. Highly recommend!
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
